Guest posts

MyDirection.net accepts and welcomes pitches for guest posts on this website. All successful posts will appear in our blog section.

The following are guidelines that you must adhere to. Failure to adhere to these will result in rejection of your post. We reserve the right to not publish a post if we do not think that the quality is up to par with the other articles on this site.

PITCHING

Once you have an idea and are interested, please contact us using the contact form. Once we have approved your topic, then take your time to write and make it a good one.

CONTENT

Your post MUST be around the topics of:

 • Finding a job
 • Job interviews
 • Choosing/changing career
 • CVs/Resumes
 • Cover letters
 • Volunteering
 • Work experience
 • Networking (job hunters)
 • The job market
If your pitch or post is really just an advertisement for your own blog or product, it will be rejected. You are welcome, however, to include up to two links back to your site or other sites provided that they add value to the article. We rarely take out links, but reserve the right to do so. Links that we leave in are always ‘follow’ links.
GUIDELINES
 • Your post must be original content, not published elsewhere on the Internet – this will be checked.
 • You must not publish (or spin) the content elsewhere on the Internet once it is published on this site.
 • Link to your Google+ profile in the format of Google+
 • Posts must be a minimum of 500 words.

EDITING

We will edit your post for grammatical errors and facts. We will rarely make many changes, but if we do, we will send the complete text of the post to you before it is published, for your approval.

SUBMITTING

Once we receive the full post, we will communicate with you about when it will be published.
